2|42 has been an established community-focused church since launching in 2005. Recently, they underwent a demographic change that influenced a visual refresh. The goal was to modernize the brand’s expression while abiding to the new target audience in both language and aesthetic. Below you’ll see the previous as well as my revised and expounded guidelines.
VOLUME 1
The strategic groundwork for a 7-campus, multi-site brand system: why consistency matters more than uniformity, the four-layer framework (Identity, System, Sensory + Behavioral, Voice), and a tiered execution model that lets any campus budget hit the same brand standard. Built around one guiding test; does this feel intentional, or is it noise?
VOLUME 2
The visual toolkit: logo construction and lockups (including Students and Kids sub-brands), a disciplined color system, typography rules, photography and iconography direction, and a standalone Community Center sub-brand extension.
VOLUME 3
Taking the brand off the page and into physical space — wall color as a neutral backdrop, photo-based wall graphics, color-coded ministry wayfinding, and a tiered signage system built for consistency across campuses without demanding a custom install every time.
